Association of citizens “Why not?” organized a two-day training for ACTION SEE grantees and representatives of several non-governmental organizations from BiH. The training was held in Sarajevo, on April 5th and 6th 2018, in the premises of Hotel Bosnia. The training was led by Feđa Kulenović, an independent information expert who, among other things, is actively working on data processing and visualization using free and open-source software.
The main focus of the training was on learning and applying the best international practices in social media, digital advocacy, promotion and development of open data standards, as well as the building of skills, tools and services to enable better, more useful and responsible work. The tools presented to the participants were Google Sprint Design and Business Model Canvas for non-profit organizations.
During the two-day training, the participants had the opportunity to learn how to use Google Sprint Design, and how to plan projects using the Business Model Canvas, designed for non-profit organizations. Exercises for creating project proposals and reviews interactively involved participants and brought them closer to these new technologies, which can greatly accelerate and facilitate their daily work.
This project is implemented by ACTION SEE (Accountability, Technology and Institutional Openness Network in SEE) in the territory of SEE, consisting of Metamorphosis Foundation in partnership with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy from the UK, CRTA – Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability in Serbia, Association of Citizens Why not? from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Center for Democratic Transition from Montenegro, Open Data Kosovo – ODK and Levizja Mjaft! from Albania, with the financial support of the European Union.
