The analysis done on “Openness of the Executive Power in Kosovo and in the region” was presented and further discussed on November 29th, 2018 on EU Information and Cultural Centre office in Prishtina, Kosovo. The analysis on openness of the Prime minister’s office, Ministries, and other Agencies operating under the Prime minister’s office was the focus of this discussion. The analysis is based on the Regional Annual Openness Index, where all public institutions are part of the measurement.
The measurement of the Executive Power has ranked Montenegro first scoring 50% of appointed indicators, Serbia was ranked second with 47%, and Kosovo was ranked third with 33% in the Western Balkans.
The opening speeches were done by the Head of Kosovo EU Office, Mr. Libor Chlad, the Minister of Kosovo Ministry of Public Administration, Mr. Mahir Yagcilar, and Executive Director of Open Data Kosovo, Ms. Blerta Thaci, whereas the analysis findings and results were done by Blerina Ramaj.
After the analysis publication took place, a discussion panel was organized involving Besa Luci – Editor in Chief of Kosovo 2.0, Bardhyl Jashari – Executive Director of Metamorphosis Foundation in Macedonia, Nora Latifi Jashari – Executive Director of GAP Institute, and moderated by Mr. Fitim Mulolli from Westminster Foundation for Democracy.
